Remembering Dr. Futch

Local artist and most interesting man in Lexington, Mr. David Keeling, has produced a portrait of Dr. Jefferson Davis Futch, the beloved professor who inspired the creation of the Spectator’s Futch Speaker Forum. Dr. Futch was a fixture at W&L for more than thirty years, and his legacy is embodied by the generations of students that he educated and inspired. Mr. Keeling has produced several prints and is offering them for sale at $200 each. The prints are 11’’ x 8.5,’’ and two of them are attached below. Proceeds from each sale will go to the Futch Forum, helping us to bring conservative speakers to campus. If you are interested in purchasing a print of Dr. Futch’s portrait, please send an email to editor@wluspectator.com.
